Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman, the Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. It is widely believed that she was the one who initiating the contemporary research into the study of eyewitness memory and child victims as witnesses in court contexts. Professor Goodman, who has many research publications as well as numerous awards to her credit and is the recipient of numerous national and global prizes. She has advised a variety of authorities and government agencies around the world about policies and studies pertaining to child victims in the justice system. She is also a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) and is a part of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is a founding member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development, and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
